From the moment you arrive at Loaring Place you will be treated to the personalised and warm hospitality of Pam and Dirk Hos. In the morning you will enjoy a gourmet Australian breakfast in the spacious lounge or outside in the alfresco area overlooking the tranquil bush landscape.  After a day of indulgence (or exercise) in the Margaret River Wine Region you can arrange a massage to ease away your cares, relax in your own double spa bath, wake up in a luxurious queen bed and do it all again!

As far as you can see from around the house, you will not see another building but only beautiful native forest of tall trees and an undergrowth of shrubs and wildflowers.  Many birds live in the forest so you will always wake up to a dawn chorus. At night all you will hear is the distant hoot of an owl and the roar of the surf in the distance.

                                         Margaret River Air Strip for light aircraft in daylight hours.  Leeuwin Estate also has an air strip and helicopter landing area. Both strips are only 10 minutes away.

Direction From Perh Airport:  South on Mitchell/Kwinana Freeway connecting to SouthWest Highway, then Bussell Highway to Margaret River. Wallcliffe Road to Caves Road, Loaring Place runs off Caves Road 400m on right going north.

Booking / Payment Policy

Full payment is required at the time the booking is made for all bookings made online, by telephone or email.  We accept all major credit cards including BarterCard.  For more details see our Rates page.

By making a booking, the guest agrees to the Loaring Place B&B Terms and Conditions.

If you cancel and give AT LEAST seven (7) days notice in advance of the first nights stay, then we will refund the payment, minus a $25.00 administration fee.  If you cancel giving less than seven (7) days notice or curtail your stay, then any refund will be at the discretion of the management depending on time of year and ability to replace the booking.  A $50.00 administration fee will be charged for short notice cancellations prior to any refund. Reservations made through a booking agency will upon cancellation attract any relevant booking agency’s administration fee in addition to Loaring Place B&B fees and charges.

Children and Pets

Although we love children, the house is not geared up to cater for them, as our function is as an adult retreat and they could cause disruption to the other guests.  That said there is always room for exceptions in exceptional circumstances.  Please give us a call or send an email and we will be happy to discuss our facilities better, as we have cots, high chair and foldaways that can be arranged.

No dogs, cats or other animals please.  Our canine security staff are busy enough with keeping  watch over the house without having to worry about other pets. 

Non-Smoking

 
We are a smoke free environment, both inside or outside of the building.  Smoking is permitted in your car in the car park or outside of our block.  Guests who smoke in the rooms will find a large cleaning bill added to their account as the walls, carpets, curtains and bedding will all require cleaning.

Designated Drivers

 
If you visit more than two wineries and are thoroughly enjoying the wine tastings, it can be very easy to reach the legal blood alcohol limit so please designate a skipper to make sure you and your passengers are safe. 

Alternatively you could join a bus tour for a day that visits many of the vineyards as well as cheese and chocolate factories and even breweries and will stop off at a vineyard restaurant for a fabulous lunch.  These are highly popular as they are educational and a lot of fun.  Please contact us to enquire about what is availabe or book online at www.MargaretRiver.com.

Margaret River also provides a fantastice service called Designated Drivers.  For a relatively small hourly rate, they will provide a chauffeur who will drive you in your car to the vineyards of your choice, spending as long or as short a time as you like and then take you to the restaurant of your choice for lunch.  When ready to call it a day, they will drive you back to Loaring Place B&B (still in your car).   They can pick you up from here or from anywhere in the region.  Should  this service be of  interest to you we will be happy to advise on the rates and make a booking for you.  If there is a group of you in a people-mover then this can be even more cost-effective.

The Margaret River Designated Drivers will also take you to your evening restaurant in your own car, allowing you to thoroughly enjoy the Margaret River wines, and will take you back when you are ready.  The drivers are fully acredited and have full insurance cover to enable them to provide a professional service at a very reasonable cost.  Please let us know if you would like to use this very reasonble service.

Security

Standard security measures should be applied to all your belongings and your vehicle. Each room can be locked from inside and the key also operates a door leading to a private courtyard that faces the lawns and forest as well as giving access to the car park. 

Our nearest neighbours are 250m to 500m away and separated by tall forest, so we are totally secluded
